Steve met us at the door & was very friendly and welcoming. We had the very top apartment, which was clean & well equipped for our stay. Lovely airy decor, making it a nice bright room. A large balcony, with a great view of the front. There is a bar downstairs, although we didn't use it. I would definitely return and recommend to others.
We had a wonderful stay. Though only downside was, there was a family upstairs from us with a child and we got constant thumping noises from the child jumping up and down on the floor and hearing the parents who are heavy footed walking around the room constantly. It was very loud. Other than that, I can't fault the Sunfold Hotel
Great hosts, very friendly and warm. Really nice people. King family suite was spacious and light (has a nautical feel). Steve more than willing to sort out cleaning issues with the floor in our room. No lift, but you'll be kept fit with the stair walking, which isn't too bad. Managed to get one of the two coveted parking spaces in the evening onwards, so that was useful. Great location, opposite the beach. Really nice communal lounge. Steve or should I say Giuseppe the chef made a very nice pizza for us too. Would stay again as made to feel very welcome.
We recently stayed here for the weekend in the family room, the view is amazing. Owner is very pleasant and welcoming and cant do enough for you. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice available. Room was comfortable wifi is available too. Our room was freshened up whilst we were there. We will be staying here again in the future.
I can't comment on the rooms because I didn't stay. Instead, I attended one of their regular musical events. This was held in the basement bar which provided an intimate setting for an engaging evening of music. The bar sold an excellent selection of ales, albeit in cans, served by a welcoming and friendly host. The hotel is sitated alongside the beach road, providing easy access to the beach and local amenities.
Lovely place, lovely welcome Steve was brilliant. Only downfall was the noise from 11:30pm all the way until 10am the next morning upstairs walking around then the tv, I've been woken up constantly every hour, the only way we would come back is if we was on the top floor, maybe sound proof boards on the floors would be a good option. Other wise everything's great
We stayed for two nights, Steve was great friendly and helpful. The room was clean spacious and has everything needed for our stay. The sunfold itself is a lovely house victorian I think, high ceilings lovely detail and character that is missing from modern newbuild buildings loved it. Our girls found the lounge interesting with all the things from bygone eras gramophone, pram ect ect it was lovely. My only gripe is the stairs felt like climbing everest after a long day not a complaint at all just wanted to mention it. all in all lovely people lovely place and great location would recommend and return for sure.
